Brian K. Gilroy is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil, County and Family Mediator in Pinellas County, Florida. As an attorney, Brian also represents clients in family law cases. Additionally, Brian is an IRS Appeals Officer in the Tampa Office of Appeals. Brian has an LL.M. in Taxation from University of Florida - Levin College of Law, a J.D. from Widener University School of Law, a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and a Masters in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration (MHRTA) from University of South Carolina and a B.S., Mathematics, from Villanova University. 

After law school, Brian operated a sole-practitioner law firm specializing in taxes, wills & estates and real estate law in St. Petersburg, Florida. Brian joined the IRS upon graduation from Florida’s LL.M. program. As an Appeals Officers Brian was trained in mediation by the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. Brian quickly developed a reputation for excellence in the Appeals Fast Track Settlement (FTS) program. Brian was recognized by both IRS Exam Managers and Taxpayers as being a fair, resourceful mediator in the FTS mediation environment. In fact, many IRS exam managers specifically requested Brian to mediate their cases because of his reputation for settling cases proactively and impartially.
